ABI Biennial Conference 2011

Political and regulatory uncertainty and the image of the industry to consumers were just two of the themes addressed at the ABI’s flagship conference. The day provided expert insights and clearer understanding of the opportunities available as UK insurers get ready for a new European capital regime under Solvency II, a dramatically altered regulatory structure in the UK and Europe, the end of the Statement of Principles, and the introduction of automatic enrolment into pension schemes.

The day featured keynote speeches from, Rt Hon Dr Vince Cable MP, Hector Sants , Rt Hon Liam Byrne MP, Nick Robinson, and Tim Breedon  as well as interactive panel sessions.
